Seamless, non-slip microcement terrace overlooking the sea on the Costa del Sol

Microcement terraces · Costa del Sol

Microcement terraces in Marbella.A seamless, non-slip and waterproof surface, without lifting your terrace.

We turn terraces, penthouses and patios into seamless, elegant outdoor spaces with microcement, laid straight over your existing surface — no demolition, no rubble, ready in just a few days. A joint-free floor that stays safe underfoot when wet and is sealed against the sun and damp, flowing your lounge out onto the terrace with barely any extra weight on the slab.

Why microcement on your terrace

A terrace you live from the inside out

Microcement for terraces creates a seamless outdoor floor — non-slip, waterproof and UV-resistant — laid over the surface you already have. These are the four reasons it's the best way to renew a terrace, penthouse or patio on the Costa del Sol.

01Flow

Seamless flow from your lounge to the terrace

Laying the same microcement indoors and out creates a smooth visual transition, with no joints or changes in level, that links your lounge to the terrace and makes the whole space feel larger. This indoor-outdoor flow is the most sought-after effect in penthouses and homes with a view.

02Non-slip

Non-slip and safe, even when wet

We seal the terrace with a specific outdoor non-slip topcoat — an anti-slip additive in the sealer, over a smooth surface — to keep its grip when the surface is wet from rain or watering. It's the safe choice for terraces, patios and pool surrounds used by children or older people on the coast.

03Over tiles

Laid over your existing tiles, no demolition

If the existing porcelain, tiles or paving is sound and level, we apply microcement straight on top with a primer and reinforcing mesh. No lifting the surface, no rubble and no clearing the terrace: the work is clean and quick, with a jointless finish.

04Lightweight

Barely any extra weight on the slab

Microcement is applied in layers just a few millimetres thick, so it barely adds load to the slab — a key advantage on penthouses and roof terraces compared with a mortar screed or a new tiled floor. We respect the expansion joints to prevent cracking in the heat.

Terraces transformed without building work

Terraces, penthouses and porches renewed across the Costa del Sol

Every terrace is a bespoke project shaped by how it's used, its exposure to the sun and its substrate. This is how outdoor spaces look after a seamless, non-slip and waterproof microcement finish.

How we waterproof and lay your terrace, step by step

No templates: we plan the work around your space, how it's used, the climate and the look you're after. We apply in stages, with no demolition, so you don't have to move furniture or leave your home.

We assess the substrate, its levels and how exposed your terrace is to sun and damp — on site or from your photos.

  2. 02

    Preparation, no demolition

We clean and key the existing surface and treat any cracks, without lifting the tiles or creating rubble.

  3. 03

    Primer and reinforcing mesh

We apply a bonding primer and a fibre mesh that stabilises the substrate and prevents cracking.

  4. 04

    Waterproofing and vapour barrier

We seal against leaks with a vapour barrier and water-repellents, respecting the expansion joints.

  5. 05

    Microcement applied in coats

We hand-trowel the microcement in coats until we reach the colour, texture and seamless finish you want.

  6. 06

    Anti-UV, anti-slip sealing

We protect the terrace with a UV-resistant sealer and an outdoor anti-slip finish.

Nothing is improvised: we start with a technical survey — on site or by video call — of the substrate, the intended use and how exposed your terrace is to sun and damp. We then apply the system best suited to it, with certified materials and a direct line to our technical team throughout the project.

    Frequently asked questions

Microcement terraces — frequently asked questions

Can microcement be applied over my existing terrace tiles without removing them?

Yes. If the existing tiles, porcelain or paving are sound and level, we apply microcement straight on top with a primer and reinforcing mesh — no demolition and no rubble. Your terrace is ready in a few days with a seamless, jointless surface.

    Is a microcement terrace non-slip?

Yes. We seal it with a specific outdoor non-slip topcoat — an anti-slip additive in the sealer, over a smooth surface — to keep its grip even when the surface is wet from rain or watering. It's ideal for terraces, patios and pool surrounds used by children or older people.

Is microcement waterproof? Will it stop my terrace leaking?

Yes. The system includes a vapour barrier and water-repellent sealers that protect the slab against leaks and damp — a common problem in coastal terraces and penthouses. We respect the expansion joints to prevent cracking.

Will it resist the Costa del Sol sun and weather?

Yes. We use a UV-resistant sealer so the colour doesn't fade or yellow under intense sun. Microcement withstands the heat, rain and saline coastal air of the Málaga coast without cracking or losing its finish.

Does microcement add much weight to a terrace or penthouse?

No. Microcement is applied in layers just a few millimetres thick, so it barely adds load to the slab — a key advantage on penthouses and roof terraces compared with a mortar screed or a new tiled floor, which are far heavier.

How much does a microcement terrace cost?

From €65/m². The price includes materials, waterproofing, professional application, protective coats, cleaning and a written guarantee. The final cost depends on the surface area, access, the state of the substrate and the finish you choose.

How do you look after a microcement terrace, and how does it compare with tiles or decking?

It's very easy: water and a neutral soap, with no waxes or varnishes. Resealing every two to three years keeps the protection in perfect condition. Unlike tiles, there are no slippery grout lines; unlike timber decking, there's nothing to rot — just a seamless surface.

Can I get a seamless flow between my living room and terrace?

Yes. Applying the same microcement indoors and out creates a smooth transition, with no joints or changes in level, that links the lounge to the terrace and makes the space feel larger. It's the most sought-after effect in penthouses and homes with a view.
