Building facade renewed with seamless microcement on the Costa del Sol

Microcement facades · Costa del Sol

Microcement facades in Marbella.Renew your building's facade with no building work — waterproof and breathable.

We give your facade the look it deserves with microcement, applied straight over the existing render — no demolition, no rubble for weeks and no months of waiting. A seamless, monolithic finish that waterproofs the wall, lets it breathe and withstands the coastal sun and salt air, in a coat just a few millimetres thick that doesn't touch the structure.

Renew the facade, without building work

Your facade speaks for you. Renew it without the rubble

Microcement for facades is a seamless finish applied straight over your existing wall — render, brick or sound paintwork — to renew the outside of the building without demolishing anything. No more flaking paint, recurring damp or cracks working their way through.

A tired facade lowers value, racks up running costs and looks neglected. Against a traditional refurbishment — noise, dust and a budget that keeps climbing — microcement offers a clean alternative: we work in stages, without closing off access to the building, leaving a modern, even finish that needs barely any upkeep.

External facade renewed with seamless microcement applied over the existing wall in Málaga

More than looks: protection

A seamless facade that won't flake, crack or let water in

Microcement isn't paint: it's a high-performance seamless finish that seals the facade as a single piece, with no joints for water to slip through. A final protective coat against the sun and rain keeps the colour and the waterproofing intact year after year.

Where paint peels every two or three years, microcement holds: waterproof on the outside, breathable from within and monolithic across the whole surface.

Why microcement on your facade

A finish built for the external wall

Microcement for facades brings together four properties that paint or a single-coat render can't offer at once. Here's why it's the smartest way to refurbish the facade of your home, villa or building on the Costa del Sol.

Waterproof, breathable microcement facade that protects the wall from damp
01Breathable

Waterproof on the outside, breathable from within

The multi-coat system forms a seamless barrier against rain and damp, yet still lets the wall breathe: it's permeable to water vapour. It blocks liquid water from getting in from outside whilst letting interior moisture evaporate, preventing condensation, blistering and problems in the wall.

UV-protected microcement facade resistant to sun and salt air on the Málaga coast
02UV resistant

Resistant to sun, rain and coastal salt air

The final sealing coat carries UV protection, so the colour doesn't fade or yellow under the intense coastal sun. The finish withstands the heat, rain and saline air of the Costa del Sol without peeling or cracking, keeping the facade even for years.

03Over the wall

Over your existing facade, no demolition

If the existing finish — render, exposed brick or paint — is sound, we apply microcement straight on top with a primer and reinforcing mesh, in a coat just a few millimetres thick that doesn't touch the structure. No chipping, no rubble and no stripping the previous finish.

04Monolithic

Seamless large format, with no joints

Microcement covers large vertical surfaces as a single monolithic piece, with no joints or changes of plane. The result is a modern, even facade — ideal for apartment blocks, villas and party walls where a seamless look makes all the difference.

    Frequently asked questions

Microcement facades — frequently asked questions

Can microcement be applied over my existing facade without chipping it off?

Yes. Microcement for facades is applied straight over the existing finish — render, exposed brick or sound paint — with a primer and reinforcing mesh, in a coat just a few millimetres thick that doesn't touch the structure. There's no need to demolish or strip the previous finish: the facade is renewed with no building work and no rubble.

    Does microcement waterproof the facade?

Yes. The multi-coat system uses water-repellent sealers that form a seamless barrier against rain and damp, removing the leaks and flaking typical of paint. Because it's a jointless finish, the points where water usually gets into a traditional facade simply disappear.

Does it let the wall breathe, or does the damp stay trapped inside?

It lets the wall breathe. A microcement facade is breathable — permeable to water vapour: it blocks liquid water from getting in from outside but lets the wall's interior moisture evaporate, preventing condensation, blistering and problems in the wall.

Will it withstand the Costa del Sol sun and weather?

Yes. The final sealing coat carries UV protection, which stops the colour fading or yellowing under the intense coastal sun. The finish withstands the rain, heat and saline air without peeling or cracking, keeping the facade even for years.

How long does it take, and how disruptive is it for neighbours?

Not very. A facade is renewed in two or three weeks, against months for a traditional refurbishment, working in stages without closing off access. With no demolition noise, no excessive dust and no rubble to manage, life in the building is barely affected.

How much does a microcement facade cost?

From €45/m² on facades up to 200 m² and from €75/m² on surfaces of 200 to 500 m². The price includes materials, application, protective coats, cleaning and a two-year guarantee. The final cost depends on the square metres, the height, access and the state of the substrate.

Will I have to repaint the facade every few years?

No. Unlike paint, which flakes every two or three years, microcement is a high-performance seamless finish. A normal clean is enough; a check of the sealer over the medium term keeps the waterproofing and colour intact, with minimal upkeep.

Is it compatible with an insulation system (EWI)?

Yes. Microcement can be applied as a seamless decorative finish over an external wall insulation (EWI) system, combining a building's energy upgrade with a modern, monolithic, waterproof facade in a single job. We confirm this during the free technical survey.
