Does outdoor microcement withstand the Costa del Sol climate?
Yes. Our outdoor systems include UV protection, thermal resistance and waterproof sealing, designed for the intense sun, coastal salt and rain of Málaga and the Costa del Sol. They handle expansion, humidity and frost without cracking or losing their colour.
Is it non-slip for terraces and pool surrounds?
Yes. We apply an outdoor-specific non-slip finish and sealer that give a secure grip even when the floor is wet. It's safer than smooth tiles or marble — ideal for terraces, porches and pool edges, where grip matters most.
Which outdoor surfaces can microcement be applied to?
Existing paving (sanded, sealed and applied with no demolition), walls and facades (with primer and reinforcing mesh), exterior stairs, boundary walls and sun-exposed terraces. It adapts to almost any substrate with no building work.
How long does the outdoor application take?
Between 3 and 5 days depending on the surface, including preparation, layered application and curing. There's no need to close the home or business: we work in stages so you can keep using the space.
Is it waterproof? Does it work in damp areas?
Yes. We apply a vapour barrier and water-repellent sealers that protect against leaks. That's why it's an ideal solution for terraces, patios and pools, where water and humidity are constant.
How do you maintain and clean outdoor microcement?
Just water and a pH-neutral soap. The sealer protects it from stains and makes day-to-day cleaning easy, with no need for waxes or costly treatments. Its upkeep is minimal compared with other outdoor finishes.
How much does outdoor microcement cost per m²?
From €65/m² for terraces and patios. Facades and vertical walls start from €45/m², and pools from €100/m². After a free assessment we give you a fixed quote, with no surprises.
Is microcement the same as polished concrete outdoors?
No. Microcement is a 2-3 mm continuous coating applied over any existing surface — lightweight and with no demolition. Polished concrete is a poured or ground structural slab. Microcement renews terraces, facades and pools with no building work.
